Very nice apartment hotel.
We closed the place in the last minute so we didn't know what to expect.
There is no receipt and you need to have an active sim if you need someone to talk to (or internet). it all works with codes and you don't need a human. so it's easy to check-in anytime and worked for us. Beside that, the place do look like the pictures, very nice and cozy. there is a free coffee, drinks and snacks which was lovely.
the location is brilliant! super close to the center, to the beach, we loved it. thank you

We were pleased with Edem.
It's well located close to the beach and plenty of restaurants.
The house is very pretty and has a beautiful garden where you can enjoy a drink from the little fridge or coffee machine and pay yourself.
We arrived late and struggled a bit to open the door but after I emailed then I got a call a few minutes late.
Room has sufficient amenities.

I will start by saying that the double standard room was a decent size and decorated nicely. It was equipped with a hairdryer, mini fridge and basic soaps. The inside of the building and the courtyard were generally very pretty too (other than cleaning products being thrown under balcony??). The location is excellent and just a few mins walk from the seafront. On the other hand, I was extremely disappointed by the check-in experience, overall customer service and small details of the accommodation. Firstly, our booking did not receive a confirmation email on the morning of arrival including the entrance code or our room codes. This meant that we could not get into the property at all when we arrived 25mins early and we were expected to stand in the street (no pavements) while waiting for this email to come through because the office worker on the phone would not simply give us the access code. Eventually, the cleaner let us into the property and tried to help us find our rooms - which were not even ready and very dirty. At 2pm (check-in time), half our rooms were not made and our codes for our bedrooms did not work. The office lady on the phone told us to just wait and that we could not do anything or go anywhere in the meantime. She was not friendly at all and told us the pin codes were automated so she could not do anything to help. This ruined our afternoon lunch plans as we had to sit in the hot lobby area for nearly 45mins just to get codes for our rooms and also have the cleaner organise them for us too. And *just to mention* there was only one cleaner onsite to arrange 8 rooms - her shift started at 11am (checkout) to be ready for 2pm (check in) - 2hrs for one cleaner for a small hotel is absolutely ridiculous. Anyway, apart from the rude lady on the phone and extremely poor service regarding access codes, my room was particularly messy too. There was one small window that did not open for fresh air or natural lighting. The bathroom door did not open even halfway and there were wires exposed around the room too. Given the short cleaning time, our carpets were also dirty. On top of that, we had to wait for 15mins for hot water to heat every time we wanted to have a shower. The bed was so horribly uncomfortable - sleeping on the floor would have been better actually! AND OMG THE NOISE. I have never had a night as bad as this one. The noise was so bad from the street, drunk neighbours in the hotel, the external metal staircase grinding against the wall and outside bin trucks and motorcycles. It’s a shame that a beautiful place with potential can be like this. I would never stay here again! Avoid at all costs - it was a disaster from start to finish.

Who is even leaving those positive reviews?
About rooms: a huge leak stain with mold inclusions on the ceiling. Dirty floors with black dried shoes traces all over it. They are so dirty that slippers stick while walking. Towels are ripped apart. No blanket. A hair in a tea cup. The toilet seat is also damaged. The shelf in the bathroom is barely holding on. Instead of a closet there’s a crossbar with 4 hangers. No reception - you can’t ask for help, the “hotel” is just rooms with code locks, no people. No place in the bathroom to put your stuff on - no shelves, not even a toothbrush holder. There is no free outlet by the bed. And all of that comes with a NORMAL hotel price (360+€ per 4 nights), not a hostel.
The location is nice BUT there is a night club through a wall, the walls in general are so thin you can hear what people are talking about in the next room.
Got the first floor, facing inside the courtyard. The room is veeeerrrry small. There is a “window” that faces the corridor of the floor and the courtyard - which means that you cannot leave the curtains open or other people are gonna see you while entering their rooms.
For some reason the hotel has 8+ rating on booking even though people write about cockroaches, dirt and overall condition while leaving a high review, which is incredibly weird.
Amazing building, I adored the interior design. We had every comfort, A/C, clean bathroom, etc. The only con was our room: too small. But they clean the room everyday, we could take a coffee in the "honest bar" in tha hallroom. Quite nice place, close to the center.
