After a 7 night stay at Tofinis, although the staff at the hotel were friendly, they failed to support us with many of the issues faced whilst at the hotel.
We were given a sea view room where the balcony door was faulty, this meant that it was near impossible to sleep during the night due to the noise heard, the room we were placed in a also had a joined internal door to the adjacent room. We were woken up multiple times during our stay by the children staying in the room next door.
The room has mould in multiple spots in the toilet, when I reported this, the cleaner was sent to deep clean the toilet, the toilet still had mould in the same spots as the issue isn’t just cleanliness. Again, I requested a room swap from both the reps and receptionist but was told the hotel is fully booked. The room had dirty beds and mattresses, the hotel failed to rectify the issue.
We were given a broken cot, once reported it was replaced for another cot in a worse condition, it has rips and was dirty all around.
The windows in the room were completely forced shut and couldn’t be opened.
As a family, we were unable to use any of the sun beds around the main pool during our week stay, they were always reserved and the life guards were less than interested in assisting with getting a sun bed.
My husband regularly used the gym during our stay, but he faced an issue where one of the treadmill belts is completely ripped, this is safety concern which needs addressing ASAP. We were given 1 key card during our stay and an extra key card was chargeable at €10, this meant that my husband was unable to enter the room whilst we were resting unless he paid the additional charge. Multiple children were also accessing the gym and running around but reception were less than interested in children’s safety.
There was no lifeguard present at the kids splash pool and during our stay the pool was closed on 2 occasions due to faeces in the water.
The animation team were appalling during the day with kids, especially in the splash park, 20 minute of activities were planned by them and they failed to involve younger children, on one occasion my daughter felt so upset, she ended up crying due to their lack of interaction with her. As for the play room, we witnessed a safeguarding incident whilst supervising our child. One of the animators allowed a young child that was signed into the building to walk away without informing parents, the lady was busy listening to music in her earphones as it happened. She failed to respond until another parent touched her shoulder to inform her of what’s going on.
In the guest guide it suggested we request late checkout two days prior to departure date, we tried to do this but was told to check in the morning. To our disappointment we were not offered the room for the time needed which meant that we had to sit in reception for over 9h. During this time, the air conditioning was not switched on, this was on a very warm day and made us extremely uncomfortable. In fact during the time we were there, the air conditioning was not switched on in the restaurant areas and reception. It was rather shocking considering it was 30 degrees on most days, it is clear the hotel is cutting costs where possible, this isn’t the 4 star luxury hotel they advertise themselves to be.

Tofinis hotel offers an all inclusive day pass to the waterpark for non residents, which I went for.
The entry is valid from 10-6PM. You get unlimited drinks and food from the restaurant next to the pool. I paid €75 for an adult and two children, which was very good value.
Food was delicious, my children thoroughly enjoyed the day.
My only criticism would be the sunbeds in the waterpark. Some of them were very dirty and required replacement.

We arrived at the hotel late afternoon in July. We were checked in quickly and easily and given our wristbands. Our room wasn't what we expected, as in the layout we'd seen in the room choices, but as we'd only be sleeping in there, we didn't see any point in bringing this up to staff. It was, however, clean and tidy.
There was plenty of space for clothes in the very large wardrobes.
Maids did come in every day to make beds and replace towels, apart from a couple of days where we had asked them not to.
The beds are not the best, and you'll do well asking for a few extra pillows as you're only provided one each.
Getting a bed around the pool was a struggle unless you were prepared to be up and on them before 8am. The main pool is one depth all the way around, which may be inconvenient to people who've let their kids splash around on holiday in the shallower ends of the pool; inflatables are allowed. The bar by the main pool closes at 6pm and reopens after the evening entertainment ends at 10pm.
The splash park was lots of fun, with little slides in a very shallow pool for the younger ones and bigger slides for the competent swimmers or taller kids and adults. The lazy river was lovely; they provide inflatable rings, doubles, and singles to use in here.
The bar here also closes when the park closes around 6 pm.
Crisps and slushies are available at both bars and are chargeable. However, it was €1 for a small slushie or €2 for a large one, so very reasonable.
There are games such as water polo and water aerobics during the day in the main pool.
There is a very small and extremely basic arcade on site, which costs €1-2 to play. It wasn't great, but the little rides are fun for the little ones.
The evening entertainment was not great, especially for older kids and adults if you've gone away without the kids and want to chill in the hotel for the evening.
The food was OK, lots of choice but quite repetitive—not the best we've experienced but certainly not the worst. Everyone else always found something they liked; I'm quite fussy, so stuck with meats and salads, etc. Red, white, and rose wine are on tap along with beers and soft drinks.
Resturant staff are very polite and efficient in moving plates from tables that are finished with, cleaning up spillages, and preparing the table for another family to use when people are done.
Buses are easily accessible and quite cheap to ride; bus stops right outside the hotel.
There's a very big shop underneath the hotel and one over the road to grab essentials if needed; they'll also inflate your inflatables when you purchase them there for you.
Bar staff are great, especially Mya, Lemmy, and the manager in the black shirt.
Overall, we did enjoy our holiday and absolutely loved Cyprus as a whole. But we wouldn't return to the hotel itself purely because of the poor entertainment, and we'd probably stay closer to Portras next time.

Tofinis has a very nice water park for kids.
The location is okay walking distance to a nice beach. The food is okay. The clientele when we stayed in the hotel was a mix of British, Russians, Greeks and Scandinavians.
During our stay the safe in our room did not work, we asked the hotel to have it fixed. After asking to have it fixed 3 times we gave up as it apparently was not a priority. The cleaning of the rooms is spotty when looking under beds there were old socks etc left by previous guests.
If you are not traveling with small kids I would suggest booking Tofinis luxury hotel.

Phenomenal experience, we enjoyed every day with our family. The food was delicious, rich, diverse, and the location perfect for a vacation. The nearest beach is stunning, crystal clear, and the children's slides are great. My wife and I enjoyed superb cocktails and other drinks every day. I don't understand why people write negative comments. The only recommendation is that if you have small children, try to book a room that does not overlook the pool because you can hear music until 11 p.m.
